This can be the data handling aspect, but commonly it is the operator time required to load and unload the sample plates. A reading step for a multiple analyte experiment on a Luminex 200 can take approximately 30 minutes. Having an operator present for this activity is a waste of resources. This is obviously worse if the operator has to load and unload from multiple Luminex readers.Process Analysis & Automation (
paa) have designed and implemented an automated robotic system that provides a fully open access solution that uses two Luminex 200 units, with the capability to support up to four readers.
